I saw an article recently which was entitled “Who Knew this cocktail of up to 20 chemicals was in your glass of milk”? A frightening prospect.  It claims that a single glass of milk can contain a mixture of as many as 20 antibiotics and growth hormones.

They came to this conclusion after scientists discovered, using a highly sensitive test, the chemicals in samples of cow, goat and human breast milk.

Milk is undoubtedly an excellent source of calcium, but if you are worried about the origin of your milk not knowing, what medications the farmer may have fed to the goat or the cow before extracting the milk, there are many other good options available to you which contain good levels of calcium.

  • Tofu
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Sardines
  • Collard Greens
  • Spinach
  • Almonds
